To create a sustainable world by 2030, the United Nations lists 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDG7 aims to facilitate access to affordable, clean energy for everyone around the world. According to the Energy Progress Report, in 2018, India reported that only 32% of its energy consumption was in renewable energy. However, several strides have been made in the solar and wind energy sectors. In 2020, India was reportedly ranked fourth in wind power and fifth in solar power worldwide. Although the generation of clean, renewable energy has been steadily increasing, heavy investments in the fossil fuel industry keep outweighing the progress. This webinar aims to highlight the real-world challenges in the field of sustainable energy and the steps we can take to chart the way forward. To do this, we answer the following questions:
